The animal control finally returned my calls around noon and came to pick "Jessie" a couple of hours later. You have the ability to update your pets information any time. There's no need for any other tags ~ all of your pet's information (rabies number, registration number, etc.) is all viewed when your Scan Me Home pet tag is scanned. Micro Chips: More costly and not visible. Micro chips must be scanned by a veterinarian, humane society or shelter. Micro chips require a visit to the Veterinarian to be implanted. There is no immediate access to contact information and they usually require costly recurring fees. With a micro chip, your pet still needs to wear other tags. Standard tags: There's no way to update contact information, unless another tag is purchased. There's no room to include veterinarian information, alternative contact methods, medical information or any other additional information. Again, your pet still needs to wear other tags for rabies vaccination, etc.
